Dancentennial was born out of an idea that came from the LDS Youth Committee in our area. Following the suggestion of our Prophet that we hold more large-scale activities to bring people together in a clean, wholesome environment, our Youth Committee took the idea to their ecclesiastic leaders. These leaders agreed that a dance festival should be that activity. The timing could not have been better. Not only is this dance festival fostering opportunity for all ages to experience growth and rich experiences, but we are celebrating Arizona’s 100^th birthday! Over twelve hundred (1200) youth, ages twelve through eighteen are participating. For those who have helped orchestrate this festival of dance, and for those who participate it has been and will be an unforgettable life-enriching experience.
